Please let me introduce myself, I’m as you might of guessed from the Blog tittle, Graham Steven Harvey,

I live in a beautiful Village called Willigham, near Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

Ok so whats it all about, This is my first ever Blog post, I deleated the Hello World Post, perhaps I should of kept it and re- wrote it :-)

I bought my first PC from Curries in Blackpool, United Kingdom, cant remember the exact year think it was summer 1994,

It was a Packard Bell, it came with CRT Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and operating system,what ever that was, it also came with Works!!!!

It was a X demo, cost me a absolute fortune, I bought it with a HP colour printer and a ream of paper. It didn’t have a sound card or CD Rom, I didn’t care I new nothing about such things anyway, I new even less about PCs but I didn’t care about that either, I had saved and bought my first PC.

Christmas 1994, I bought myself a Christmas present, It was a Creative CD Rom, Sound Card and speakers, WOW cost over £300.00, I was a kid in a sweat shop. I even wrapped it up. Opened it Christmas day, then dismantled the PC, thinking to myself how hard can this be, I worked for TVR engineering in Blackpool, we built sports cars.

Long story short, I inserted the sound card, I installed the CD Rom Drive, I plugged the speakers in, I put the PC back together, I switched it on all was looking good, the little green light flashed on the front of the CD Rom, WOW , I thought that went well, Time for Bucks Fizz, The Drinks you fools not the Band.

Came back to the PC inserted the floppy disk, installed the software, put a CD into the Drive, you guessed it nothing, I was gutted, after another glass of Bucks Fizz, I decided I better read the Instructions, now, I have to tell you one thing about me, I HATE Reading. It started going on about jumpers, that then reminded me, I had one wrapped up, still to be opened, I thought to myself, what is it going on about Jumper’s in a metal box, i don’t remember seeing any knitted articles in the case.

Ive, been online since 1995, dial up back in those days, I think the speed was 28.8 kbps, WOW that was fast.

I then purchased a Windows 95 disk, 95 didn’t have CD Rom capability, meaning if your Hard Drive had been formatted you had to have the set up Floppy Disk from your CD Rom’s manufacturer that was soon superseded by Widows 95B
